Penny Reed

Penny Reed is a culture and leadership keynote speaker, author, and certified behavioral consultant who helps dental teams and organizations build cultures where people stay coachable, communicate clearly, and embrace what comes next. Over more than 30 years, she has developed leaders and teams from the front line to the executive suite. She served as Chief Growth Officer of eAssist, the nation's largest dental billing company, and Executive Vice President of the American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM). She is a former Dale Carnegie trainer and is certified through the Institute for Motivational Living.

Penny is the creator of The Bitter Baby®, a lovably grumpy puppet who gives voice to the why-bother mindset, and The Coachability Factor™. Her series Dental Wired Differently: The AI Series helps practice leaders build the human edge that makes technology pay off. Her programs also cover case acceptance and practice growth. She speaks at dental meetings, study clubs, and DSO and industry events, as well as healthcare, corporate, and women's leadership events.

She is the author of Growing Your Dental Business and co-author of Persuade with a Case Acceptance Story, faculty with the Nash Institute for Dental Learning, and a Dentistry Today Leader in Dental Consulting since 2007. She was named to the inaugural USA Dental Report 100 for 2026.
