HIPAA regulations involve much more than posting a Notice of Privacy Practices and having your patients sign an acknowledgement form.   This course will review all HIPAA documentation requirements, including privacy and security policies, employee acknowledgements, security breach assessments, security risk assessments and much more.   Digital security will also be discussed, including software and hardware requirements to protect from unauthorized access and hacking/ransomware attacks.

Ergonomics and Self-Care in Dental Practice

Description

Dentistry is a physically demanding profession for all members of the team.   Participants will learn how to identify ergonomic hazards in the dental setting, as well as common musculoskeletal injuries caused by these hazards.   Just as dentistry focuses on prevention for oral health, dental professionals must focus on prevention of ergonomic injuries from poor posture, less than ideal equipment and negative habits.  Taking the time to practice self-care and modifying the workplace are keys to improved health, increased longevity in the profession and increased productivity in the practice.
